SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT: DRIVE YOU TO NEGATIVE ATTITUDE
ARTIST STATEMENT
Social media is one platform that allows us to hold conversations, share information and create web content. Various platforms that we can find on social media include Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and many more. However, the content on social media to some extent also affects a person's attitude in a negative direction. Various studies that have been conducted related to social media have also found that social media has a strong relationship in increasing the risk of depression, loneliness, injury, and even suicidal thoughts. In this study, the researcher used expressive photography and produced works of art in the form of collages. The material used in the artwork that will be produced is related to the title of the study. The objective of this study is to identify the types of negative attitudes on social media and describe negative attitudes on social media by using art pictures. The negative attitude that is often the pride of the public, especially among teenagers, is now increasingly worrying when they use rude words in communicating with their friends. In the context of social media that we can see nowadays, researchers show that many people now prefer to use rude language in communicating with each other. Even more worrying is the reaction that has arisen among users of social media applications that seem to support the act. The method used in this study is qualitative, which is observation through video analysis found on social media. This way, the researcher can find and collect data related to the research topic.
